  1. Keep it simple.  The more complex your language or slides, the more difficult it is for your audience to follow. Don’t make it difficult for them to clearly get your core message.
  2. Tell a story.  We don’t mean that you must being with “once upon a time.” Rather, you should couch your message in a kind of narrative with compelling visual images. If the story is one that the audience can identify with, all the better. That is the way to present a crisp message that resonates and is memorable. 
  3. Repetition works.  Introduce your message at the beginning; elaborate on it throughout your time on stage; and highlight it at the end.
  4. Learn by doing. In public speaking, practice may not make perfect but it does make you better. Test out your presentation on others and listen carefully to their feedback.
