As
a sales presenter, your first and foremost charge is to engage your audience.
If you are addressing a small group, you can involve them by asking questions
and interacting through a kind of dialog and discussion. But if you have a
large audience, it is more difficult.
Connect
with them first by describing the current situation. If you’ve done your homework,
you will be on target with your portrayal of the status quo—this is the way to quickly
gain credibility. Then talk about where you could end up
if they choose to travel with you or, in other words, accept your proposal.
Construct
your sales presentation as if you were taking the audience on a journey…from
what is to what could be. Persuade them with a vision of the future that only
you and your company can provide.
