Do Not Wing Sales Presentations

A poorly prepared sales presentation reflects badly upon you as the salesperson and your company.

A lack of preparation insults the customer and greatly reduces your chances of a successful result.

Every time you face a customer, you are presenting…whether formally or informally. If you have not taken the time to think through what you want to say, why should your customer spend the time listening to you ramble aimlessly or fumble with your collateral or slides.

Here are simple steps to get properly set for an effective sales presentation:
  1. Know your product/service thoroughly and how and where it can fill a customer’s need.

  2. Know your customer and what their issues are.

  3. Organize your thoughts with your customer in mind.

  4. Practice again and again so you are fully prepared to deliver the presentation with confidence yet are able to adjust to the specific needs and interests of your audience.
“Winging it” should not ever be an option.
