Too
many presenters make it difficult for their audience to grasp the meaning of
their slides by making them too complicated.
Follow sales presentation and coaching advice from experts and simplify, simplify, simplify!
Describe
in your own words the point of the slide. How can you boil down the numbers to
the very essence of what you are trying to convey? Is it that sales have
increased over the last few years? Then use a graphic in bold colors that
highlights the upward moving line. Is it that one product has far surpassed
others in sales? Then distinguish that product from the others by the color you
choose.
You
can significantly enhance the impact of your sales presentations if you reduce
the number of slides and reduce the amount of information you communicate on
each one. Provide backup data if necessary on handouts. But make it easy for
your audience to understand the gist of your proposal so they walk away with a
clear idea of your intent.
